Can you solve the problem of climate change by being a vegetarian ? ( Think again! )

In eco friendly, Fracking, Green House Gas emissions, micro plastics, ocean plastic waste, save the planet by Maz

Spread the love

The problem of Climate change is not due to eating meat alone. Stopping meat consumption cannot make a significant change. Meat is not the problem but a part of the solution. We have adapted to our environment; hence, we are a carnivore.

For thousands of years, we have adapted ourselves to our environment. All the countries in the world don’t have a similar type of food and habitat. We can distinguish the eating habits of different regions across the globe. A considerable outcry from every one of us to become vegetarian is becoming quite prevalent.

This topic needs to be analyzed if you need the correct understanding like any other topic. Hence, we decided to look into both sides and show you the other side of the foods that we have always had.
As much as it may compel you to speculate, you can only say so much. Observing the trends can make us think about this as either a profit motive or a conflict of interest situation.

Historic take on our eating habits

When we talk about eating Beef these days, we think of increasing C02 and water consumption. The problem, however, is not Beef. Having Beef in moderation can help maintain a part of a balanced diet. The byproducts thus can be used too. It can further provide the red meat nutrients to us. We have been eating meat since the beginning of time as far as humans can think.

Suddenly, all the positive aspects of being vegetarian are coming into highlight more than ever. Some have also made it exactly as if eating meat or Beef is wrong. Eating even vegetarian food has always been there from the beginning.

In the olden days, no oil exploration went on. There were no cars or petrol, no diesel; plenty of people ate animal meat and burned wood in their homes. There was no heating source other than burning wood and keeping it warm. Humans also used animal skin like leather, feathers & animal fur to protect themselves from the cold in the winter season (Although one can argue the population was less).

Even our friends who advocate being vegetarian may have many animal products. Some of them also pollute and harm the environment. However, it may not be one’s intention.

Valuing each viewpoint to understand the whole picture of the climate change

Some of us go so strict in implementing the values we believe in; that we start to dictate unintentionally. It happens by banning certain items that may have been a livelihood for many.

As a result, it destroys the very people they are here to love and care for and their children. (Racism plays a significant part in harming innocent people) One may argue to get other forms of livelihood or learn different skills.

It is easy to be said than done. Implementing and providing a huge number of people a skill by asking them to pay for it is not a good option. This action applies to both developed and developing nations if you need this to be implemented with being firm and accurate.

The logic of population and revisiting the myth for facts

We are shouting out about the population pressure of humans on the planet leading to pollution. Have you ever imagined the number of cows or cattle that must have roamed the earth thousands of years ago when there were fewer humans!

If we take this instance as a viewpoint, there must have been an enormous climate crisis. That is because almost all the living creatures were living long and healthy lives due to less human intervention. Now, this didn’t create a climate catastrophe or did it?

There was massive green earth to soak up all of that C02 & handle the methane emission from these animals and even natural disasters.

Let us consider that dinosaurs ate most of the cows, and wild animals did the same. This logic leads us to think about the quantity of methane our giants of the animal kingdom must have been releasing in those days.

Understanding the arguments of vegetarians and non-vegetarians

This section has the most emphasis on the non-vegetarian point of view. It is because most of the easy to find information is available on becoming a vegetarian. The information available on the health benefits of being a non-vegetarian is not as much.

The vegetarian point of view

Vegetarian supporters say eating meat is animal cruelty. It creates pollution that leads to global warming, taking innocent animal’s life, harming your health, religious issues etc.

Vegetarians are not weak; we can get nutrition through vegetables and fruits. Vegetables that grow underground, like beat root, sweet potatoes, carrots, and a few others, also have high nutritional value.

Non-vegetarians and their point of view

Non-vegetarians, on the other hand, might say plants have life (which is true), and chopping, crushing, and eating them raw and cooked is cruelty to plants. If you love nature, you must not harm them.

From the hats to the shoes, you find animal byproducts. Also, from gadgets to the transport vehicles, we use animal byproducts.

The overall observations reveal that vegetarians are not of one type. In some cases, the points expressed have very little to no truth behind a religious prohibition.

The ancient religious figures hunted and ate meat. Misinterpretation of text appears to be the likely cause of confusion. The point of view doesn’t remain consistent throughout. It changes according to people’s affiliation to a group or a section.

The issue around production and distribution an incomplete analysis

We have been ignoring the very fact that our planet has different types of climate. It is not feasible for people in some countries to have the same kind of vegetables or grains and spices to be grown and eaten.

Hence, the main occupation of the people was hunting, fishing and farming. A very well-known fact is that many parts of Europe and the Western and Scandinavian countries did not use spices like other warmer regions. To date, there are many spices that you can’t even find easily in the grocery stores.

Even places where you could find grains had people that were farming vegetables & were into animal husbandry. It allowed us to take care of our families and feed them.

Even transporting the grains or vegetables leaves a carbon footprint whether by road, air, or ocean; if not by fuel, then using plastic.

What would an animal do if given bad quality feed?

An animal can either eat or refuse to eat certain types of food. How can a plant say no to manure that is for them? An animal can run and be finicky about its feed if they are well cared for. What would a vegetable crop do if you feed it low quality and harmful chemicals?

When we import certain spices from a specific Asian country, some guidelines are in place. Despite having these, still, low-quality products enter other markets.

Many countries in the world may not have such strict checkups on imported food products all the time. Hence those countries could be an easier target for generating unethical ways to profit and unhealthy trade practices.

Making the desert green without truly affecting the environment

At least not that fast! The very fact that you can read this article is that you have an electronic device. How many of the electronic devices in the world are entirely nature-friendly and completely biodegradable?

The Problem of Climate change and Global warming is not due to eating non-vegetarian food. This whole phenomenon has many layers to it that contribute to several repercussions. Eating non-veg is just a tiny part of the whole cycle.

Even as climate activists, we might want to change. Please take a look around us; we are entangled in plastic, the helmets while cycling, the shoes, shoelaces, the football, and even our spectacles have it.

People that consume alcohol are both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Alcohol production also produces greenhouse gases. More than eating meat, it is the meat-related industry items that cause enormous pollution (leather tannery, gelatin, chemicals).

 Unintentional contributions toward global warming

Eventually, every person, a vegetarian or non-vegetarian, gets stuck in the maze of plastic items. You can’t avoid plastic around you. If you can’t avoid it, you are equally responsible for using it and buying it.

Not all of us are skilled enough or have time to make wooden items or commission somebody to make nature-friendly products all around us. All we do is reduce the amount of waste and the plastic around us. So do the people who eat non-vegetarian food.

Contributors to climate change and global warming are as follows:

  1.  Methane
  2. Nitrogen di oxide
  3. Copper
  4. Water vapour
  5. Volcanic gases
  6. Sulphur
  7. Hydrofluoro carbons
  8. Perflouro carbons
  9. Sulphur di oxide
  10. Fluorinated gases
  11. Nitrogen Trifluoride

Many published studies often concentrate on non-vegetarian food contributing to Green House Gases (GHG). However, the truth has more to it. The foods that are non-meat items still contribute significantly to the Greenhouse gas emissions. It includes non-organic vegetables produce that has fertilizers and pesticides sprayed on them.

Contributors for climate change are many

Methane is the Global contributor in adding to GHG emissions

You may have come across bottles that has a sign of harmful to the environment and to the ozone layer (label on it). Not many of us realize that alcohol production is also responsible for generating greenhouse gases. Is that going to stop you from drinking alcohol & being a vegetarian?

As per the US Environmental Protection Agency, It is during the production and transportation of  Coal, Oil and natural gas that methane gets emitted. It’s also a result of waste in the landfills and agricultural livestock. Wastewater treatment contributes to the production of Nitrous oxide, Carbon dioxide & even methane.

What happens when everyone becomes a vegetarian?

It will have a massive impact on their health due to harmful chemicals that they can intake through vegetables and fruits. The water that subsides and gets drained from these vegetables can pollute the freshwater once it reaches the aquifers, assuming most vegetables have chemicals sprayed on them. It will affect the water creatures due to the chemicals.

Biogas plants produce methane in large quantities as the motive is to produce this gas to use it as a fuel. If you burn the wood, it would still produce methane but not to that great extent. Biogas plants would have a chance of accidents while burning firewood for cooking does not (For example; The biogas plant gets damaged and creates a leak). Although burning methane doesn’t produce as much C02, it does have chances of accidents.

Being a vegetarian is not bad, just as being a non-vegetarian isn’t. Our bodies can allow those foods to get processed easily, which we have always been eating. A non-vegetarian becoming a complete vegetarian and abruptly stopping meat can affect their health.

Meat has certain qualities or properties required to survive in certain places. One may be able to stay for a while, but it can’t warm your body if you are living in a cold region. People would either prefer to have meat or would like alcohol.

The miscalculation in understanding the benefit

We have paid attention to only this single benefit of living a healthy and long life that vegetarians live. Hence, we mistakenly assumed that it is better to be a vegetarian. Another one is to save the planet. Living a long and healthy life depends not just on one point we think will solve the problem.

This benefit we are looking to achieve has many facets:

  1. Eating habits (not simply being a vegetarian)
  2. Organic food (not chemically treated)
  3. No GMOs
  4. Not being addicted (smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc.)
  5. Unusual eating patterns
  6. Lack of sleep
  7. Better air quality
  8. Good quality water to drink
  9. Regular exercise
  10. Proper vitamins and other nutrients
  11. Lower crime rates
  12. Able to survive in the extreme cold
  13. No wars
  14. No accidents
  15. No financial pressures
  16. No more suicides
  17. No Landfills
  18. No food waste (veg or non-veg)
  19. Better Healthcare
  20. No deadly diseases

Death rates have a little to do with being a vegetarian

  • Accidents
  • Debts
  • Wars
  • Crimes
  • War crimes
  • Food waste
  • Malnutrition
  • Unhealthy relationships
  • Slavery
  • Human trafficking
  • Adulteration
  • Use of chemicals in food
  • Plastics
  • Garbage
  • Deforestation
  • Natural calamities
  • Housing
  • Sanitation

If the world was full of vegetarians

The world is full of people who do wrong and write. There is capitalism and mixed economies. We also see socialism and communism. Democracy is only the mask under the actual oppressive rule in some parts of the world.

You can still find vegetarians equally taking wrong decisions that harm the planet and the people as non-vegetarians, if not more. Being a vegetarian doesn’t make one directly good for nature or the environment.

What do we do in this day and age with the meat industry?

Common knowledge: Animals are force-fed, injected, medicated, and on steroids.

They are fed meals that allow them to look big and grow fast.

Can we imagine what would this scene look like? We would all need lots of vegetables. Green leafy vegetables, pulses & lots of fruits, our pet and cattle would need the same, except meat-eating pets.

If you have a big farming company, you need to produce vegetables faster and better looking than others; what will you do?

Think!

GMO, hormones, chemicals, quick-growing feed, low-quality manures, etc. We live in the survival of the fittest age, and everything is fair in love and war type of proverbs. The only difference is when it comes to ourselves; then, these exact words hurt the most.

Does any of these sound familiar!!

Some of us may want to differ on these points, which is alright. Not everybody gets 100% a yes!

More vegetarians would boost the demand for consuming more vegetables all the time. We would feel hungrier faster as specific areas and types of work would require more energy. Secondly, vegetables would not match the demand for veg eaters as quickly.

Think about it. Out of 100 people, 60 are non-vegetarians, and 40 are vegetarians. The distribution, the production, and the chances of emergency mitigation in case of problems on either side would make it not so difficult.

However, if 99 people are all vegetarians, the pressure and the chances of manipulating our food would be high.

There is no scepticism, but being logical could works

Whether natural or not, the fertilisers would require to be of utmost high quality and non harming to people.

Any Climate catastrophe could hamper the entire crop, just as we see these days. Again, large scale production of food would raise more questions on the quality and supply of the food. (One may say some organisations overlook the quality) Still, we do end up having low-quality products at times. Some things are unavoidable, like micro-plastics in the food chain.

The most beneficial vegetable would be a bit expensive. Take a look at the vegetables that are become more costly than any other vegetables over the last two decades.

Why you can’t afford Organics & Exotics in the long run?

The moral principles can’t implement if there is no moral obligation to provide a high-quality output when there is a race to make more and much faster.

Some countries can’t have vegetable produce as much as needed due to their geographical location. Take a look at the supermarket aisle for vegetables next time you go. List down what kind of vegetables you see often and are always expensive.

You would be able to see the one with the organic labels would be more expensive than the other. Now any intelligent layman would understand that even though it is good, they can’t afford to buy them all the time.

The majority of the people worldwide that go shopping in supermarkets or vegetable markets have a specific income group they fall within. Here, I am not talking about high-income individuals that also go to the supermarket.

Here the focus is on the general public, and most of the general public can’t afford to have high price vegetables even though they may be good. So, if pollution or global warming doesn’t kill them, inflation would slowly destroy their lives.

Conflict of interest for the countries that are highest vegetable producers and exporters

Countries that have high growth or even a regular vegetables growth would be in a better position to demand their favours. Especially those countries that are not very strong in position would have to manage somehow.

The Brainstorming on Vegetarian Vs Non-Vegetarians thinking

One religious speaker would say you can eat meat and another would go against and say, you should not eat meat. When Cows, Bulls & other (ruminants )similar livestock produce so much methane, then why can’t we keep their population under control by consuming meat?  There will be more demand and less supply then obviously the interest of people would shift to other similar products. The argument could be that reducing the number of cows could produce less methane. This means people need to eat more beef. Sounds strange and not logical correct!

The very fact that you consume milk which comes out of animal makes you non-vegetarian. As a strict vegetarian would not consume any item that is animal-based item as per a strict vegetarian. You may differ to this explanation rightly as mentioned definition of vegetarians differs for each. One would not like to be called out

How much non-vegetarian is important

Ruminants that burp and Fart create more greenhouse gas emissions

Methane is more potent than C02 in trapping the heat on earth in the form of greenhouse gases; many of us reading this may know this. On one side, we can add the positive effects of eating beef and, on the other, the most popular adverse effects. The problem is not in eating beef but in the rearing of the animal, the food they eat, and the methane gas they emit, which is responsible for GHG emissions. This process applies to any livestock. For that reason, ILRI comes into the picture, which is working to help curb this issue as well.

The problem noticed here is the large scale industry dealing with the cows. Bulls or cows provide beef, but there are also cows reared for their milk. Effects are not just on one side, but they have many levels. For example, cattle have many byproducts: meat, milk, cheese, yoghurt, butter, buttermilk, gelatin, leather, horns, and bones. The demand is much. We may become vegetarians, but who would not like to drink milk, probably a few of us.

Dilemma in choosing your food preference

Many dairy farmers breed the cattle even to sell them in some developing nations. They may not eat the beef, but they sell the same cow.

Reports on killing human beings have also come to light and are also possible for eating, selling or possessing beef. There are several reasons given by those that follow the religious practice of being a strict vegetarian.

These incidents have increased furthermore in the last decade. It is not about the popular opinion; it is about the effect and the side effects. It’s a part of the food chain.

Some vegetarians drink milk from cows, sheep, and goats but insist non-vegetarians stop eating beef.

A lot of vegetation is grown and taken off in a high quantity disturbing the soil and manipulating the growth and the preservation of the vegetable for a long duration.

The message of ‘Stop eating meat!’ is conveyed in various ways on specific points:

  1. Good for the environment
  2. Ending cruelty to animals
  3. Health benefits
  4. Long life

Humans have been living and hunting for ages. These were the main practices of the ancient civilizations too. It, however, doesn’t mean we are going to start hunting and eating meat all the time.

Where should we emphasise to help prevent further pollution?

We should be targeting more prevalent and apparent things. Let’s take a look! How many people in the world are non-vegetarians & how many are vegetarians?

For instance, 70% of the world population are non-vegetarian, and 30% vegetarian. Now, not all 70 % of the people eat red meat or beef, and not all of them eat meat every day.

There is a solution even for this methane emission that happens through cows. A scientist’s recent study indicates that the methane emission from the cow could be curbed by adding seaweed (Kelp) to their feed. ‘Through an ongoing research led by the agricultural scientists at the University of California in Davis, It was found that by simply adding a little Asparagopsis seaweed (red Algae) to cattle, it could reduce the methane emissions by 50% in Dairy cows.’ This addition helps them with digestion. This finding solves a major problem.

Drinking water and cattle that consume them

The answer to this is that we waste more water in our bathrooms than innocent animals. Give it a thought if you live in a hot climate. Do you not use buckets and buckets of water to make your home floor cool by splashing it on the floor or outside gardens even when it is not needed.

We unintentionally waste a massive amount of water from a single tap leakage. These actions contribute to water wastage also.

How many homes in your locality have water safety devices on their tap.

A farmer takes care of their livestock better than those in the meat & dairy industry.

Fewer animals taken care of by an equal number of individuals makes it easy rather than automated systems. The Issue is only to educate and equip them with the proper tools to help them take care of their animals.

The Contribution to climate change and incorrect conclusions about meat

Our average life expectancy is approximately 90 years (rounded to zero). This means people have 32850 days. 788400 hours and 65,700meals (lunch & dinner in total), out of which a certain amount of the population sleeps hungry due to war and poverty, and more than a billion people fast every year at least once.

Some fast for a month, and others do intermittent fasting.

A life expectancy of 90 years is not an actual life expectancy figure for every country. This figure is from the country with the highest life expectancy.

Not all of us take two full meals that contain meat exclusively. A country’s culture and eating habits, in general, dictate its meal preferences.

Did you think beef is only purchased to feed Humans?

The answer is a Big No! Some of us have pets, and we like them and love them. Many of us want to visit the Zoo, the circus, and the Safaris.

You thought it was only humans, didn’t you! Many of us gladly buy sweets or two with beef gelatin. The Soft, chewy candies have gelatin too.

Although not all of them have beef gelatin, most popular ones do have. Plant-based gelatin is not very popular, which should be if we need to reduce beef production to a certain extent. We need to start with these small steps too.

How much of the beef production for feeding will create pollution?

It’s the collection of activities carried out by us humans which are heavily responsible for climate change and not just being non-vegetarian. There are lakes in some countries that puff out methane quite often.

Is there a measure for that emission, or can it be controlled?

Figure on the methane emission varies according to different sources. However, we have taken the maximum just to show the effect. From 70 to 200 Kg per year divided by 365 gives us 0.5479452, which is less than one kg per day, just a little more than half a kg of methane.

Let’s see the area which is not shown much in many parts of the world: It is human interference in nature by an activity known as hydraulic fracturing or fracking. Live science figures indicate that there were around 510,000 fracking sites in the US just by 2010 itself, and by 2014 around 15.3 Americans have lived within a mile of a fracking well (Lallanilla, M. 2018).

A religious take on veg and non-veg topic

Points by the non-veg: If following the old religious practices includes praying and performing certain rituals, why not eat meat as they did.

The issue is tricky since one can twist this statement on how one wants to portray it. The vegetarian says okay, should we start to eat raw meat like they did and the conversation goes in circles—a real famous never-ending debate.

People choose whether they want to eat beef, lamb, or fish. No one likes to eat the same type of food every day. Tolerance is the key to working as a team.

Humans also consume many grains eaten by cows

  • Barley
  • Oats
  • Corn
  • Oilseeds

Cattle also consume grains that we eat. They could be a bakery leftover, Apples, banana peel, and other green vegetables. Many of these items help produce alcohol, harming the environment and people. The solution, so thought, was to raise the cattle faster by feeding them nutrient-rich food that can build their muscles more quickly. The horrible danger to this is that many companies might feed them something that can make them look big, but it can create diseases.

Hence, it can affect not only the cows but also humans. Many companies raise the Chickens by feeding them things that make them look bigger. Many of these chickens can’t survive for a long time. Hence, they slaughter these chickens within the time frame. Observations reveal that these chickens had internal problems that could lead them to paralysis or an organ failure.

Cows not the only source of methane emission

The following industries are also major contributors to methane emissions.

  1. Agricultural industry
  2. Alcohol industry
  3. Chemical fertiliser industry
  4. Shipping industry
  5. Oil industry

If you are shocked to see the agricultural industry, let us check why it comes on our list. It is because of fertiliser usage, transportation, a gathering of food and animal waste to produce gas and manure. Keeps animals for long to get milk and farm them.

Check the video below. It is from DavidsuzukiFDN; it clearly shows the amount of methane that leaks through the gas wells. We may not be able to see this with our naked eye; hence a special camera shows it.

Benefits of eating a Beef

Eating beef gives us many benefits; some of them are as follows:-

  • They produce L- Carnitine, an amino acid that naturally occurs in beef.
  • It provides the antioxidant Glutathione. = This is very beneficial for our body to detox.
  • High in protein which also helps to increase muscles (high macronutrients)
  • Rich in minerals such as iron, phosphorus, magnesium, selenium, Omega3 and zinc.
  • It also helps prevent iron deficiency which is responsible for Anaemia
  • According to WHO, 1.62 billion people suffer from iron deficiency.
  • It contains Carnosine, a potent amino acid (It contains in red meat generally)
  • It also contains many vitamins (such as A, E, D, K2, B, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12) because of the greens it consumes.
  • Conjugated Linoleic acid
  • Beef also contains a performance enhancer that is creatine.
  • It is quick and simple to cook.

Not just meat, but in some countries, the usage of animal blood is also common or part of their culture. Some may use it in their food, and some for their non-food items, such as medicines & pharmaceuticals. Components of blood such as albumin, fibrinogen, and serotonin are just a few out of many used for medical purposes or chemicals.

Excess intake of any food and damaging effects

Even if you eat the same type of vegetable every day, every meal can affect you all the time. For instance, a person eating carrots to improve their vision can harm themselves if they overeat. It is how we want to put it across. Eaten to satisfy hunger can be considered the ideal & not being simply a glutton. Grass-fed beef has a high omega3 as compared to grain-fed beef.

Beef Liver is considered one of the superfoods. Many fishes such as Discus species, Arowana and other meat-eater fishes eat beef liver. It also contains Folic Acid. Beef liver is also good for people with the problem of Anaemia Since it is a source of iron (Contributors, n.d.).

The source of pollution also includes the following:

  1. Cows
  2. Humans
  3. Earthquakes
  4. landfills
  5. Oceans
  6. Hot springs
  7. Rice fields
  8. Burning of Forest
  9. Charcoal
  10. Coal mine (methane gas from the underground)
  11. Firewood for burning
  12. Cremations
  13. Fossil fuel explorations

Since methane is a byproduct of natural gas, it also is emitted from the oil well during the drilling process. Leaving the rubbish for a long duration could also produce methane. Humans are responsible for creating more methane emissions than any other source. Do you keep your trash bags or bin bags longer than they should?

Adverse effects of eating beef or red meat

  • Risk of getting cancer (not proven 100%)
  • Risk of death
  • Problems of farmers feeding GMO contained corns & soya when they feed them
  • The main deficiency most commonly found among vegans and vegetarians is B12, which could make them take supplements.

There is more buying power for the people in the middle and high-income countries for processed meat & other meat options. People have the facility and the luxury to buy animal products easily and quickly.

This behaviour leads to the excessive demand in the meat industry & an increase in the supply from the other end, which also leaves a big carbon footprint in transporting these animals.

What does cancer research state?

Demand for meat & dairy products such as milk, cheese, and other such items compels business owners to add harmful chemicals in them to the animal feed. Eating such meat can also harm us. It not only affects them but also affects the economy and the environment in many ways.

A large scale farming and production facility give a chance for mistakes on a large scale. Their livestock consumes artificial and toxic feed that may contain GMOs and other harmful things.

Where is the issue in consuming plant-based products?

We find selenium in beef, beef liver, other animal products, and even Brazil nuts. Although the amount of selenium present in the Brazil nuts is more, it needs to be more in numbers, and beef is readily available even in the countries where you can’t grow Brazil nuts.

Brazil nuts originate from South America. Nuts are usually expensive in many countries due to their qualities and benefits.

Many people also have nut allergies. If middle and low-income people can’t afford to buy them.

Issue related to the consumption of all different vegetables in one place is a problem, but meat is readily available. From the vegetable, a person has to gather them. It’s not always the case you can find all different types of vegetables in one place in all the countries at an affordable price.

On the other hand, red meat solves the problem of Money spent on travelling to look for the vegetables in different places, looking for other spices and making food out of them. Now you also need to buy more to fill the bellies. Meat is more filling compared to vegetables.

The word vegetarian differs in its meaning (point of perspective)

Some eat eggs & milk, while others eat seafood. One eats all raw vegetables & fruits. There is no such thing as standard vegetarianism; adding one’s perspective creates friction. The point is to reduce the amount of meat we consume.

Our conclusion indicates that large-scale farming affects the environment. It also includes animals reared for dairy products such as milk etc. The firecrackers which both vegetarians and non-vegetarians use also have beef in them. Stearic acid, which also contains oils and animal fats, is also used to produce firecrackers. Stereal alcohol also has Stearic acid.

Vegetarians usually come in the following categories:

  • Lacto vegetarians= Do consume dairy products.
  • Vegans = Do not consume animal products or byproducts.
  • Flexitarian= They are a bit flexible in eating
  • Lacto ovo vegetarian
  • Pollotarian
  • Pescatarian
  • Ovo vegetarian

Here’s our conclusion to the study we did

Excessive consumption of anything can hamper your health. Even if we drink enormous amounts of water every day, it could prove fatal. Too much salt is also fatal. Even excessive vitamins or any nutrients do have side effects on them.

Have the only option of meat on land apart from the fishes from the lakes, rivers, sea & oceans. The research also suggests that they have an amount of plastic present in them, which could harm us as humans. Red Algae has proven to help reduce methane emissions to a great extent from the cattle.

All of this information about if the world should become a vegetarian is more superficial. The reason is that not all the countries in the world would agree on one point. This could be because of their financial or political interests. Some may not be able to do it due to their geographical location. However, it is worth knowing the pros and cons of this issue.
